Hi, I recently installed Windows XP Proffessional and I want to use the internet, only problem is I can't. We have Qwest as our provider. I have an Ethernet cable that I want to use but when I follow the Qwest installation disc and it tries to detect the modem, it can't. I have the Ethernet cable connected to both the modem and my computer and the Ethernet light is solid green along with all the other lights being solid green like they're supposed to be. My parents computer is connected with the USB. What must I do to get the internet on my comp? I actually had been able to previously use the Ethernet cable on my comp and get internet but I felt like I wanted to start over with Windows and I reinstalled it. I think it's the drivers, I need the drivers in order to connect to the internet but since I have no internet to be able to download the drivers then I can't get the drivers. can someone point me to a place where I can download the drivers? (By the way I'm on my parents comp that is connected to the modem with the USB cable)... read more
